School Enrolment Policy
The school enrolment policy is available to parents and guardians of all prospective entrants to the school.
Scoil Naomh Lorcáin, Levitstown N.S. is a Roman Catholic school under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin.
As a Roman Catholic school, Scoil Naomh Lorcáin aims to promote the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the pupil: intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and other people. The school models and promotes a philosophy of life inspired by belief in God and in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Catholic school provides religious education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church and promotes the formation of the pupils in the Catholic faith.
The school enrolment form can be downloaded from our website or otherwise can be made available at the school to prospective parents. The school prefers not to accept children at any time of the school year other than September, except in the case of a family moving house.
A meeting for parents of new pupils attending the school is held every year where the Principal and class teacher meet the parents for a general introduction to the school.
All new/prospective parents are given copies of the school’s prospectus, the NCCA booklet on the curriculum and the I.N.T.O. booklet for parents of children starting school (if available).
