We welcomed Brigid and Noelle from Kildare Youth Services to our school today. They spoke to all the classes about the importance of looking after our mental health.
In particular, they discussed the topic of feelings – where in our body we experience different feelings and how we deal and cope with the feelings we experience every day. The children enjoyed watching a short clip from the film ‘Inside Out’ which explores feelings.
Brigid and Noelle also explained how important it is to have support around us to cope with our feelings and thoughts. The children came up with a long list – family, relatives, friends, teachers, God and even animals can listen to us and help us feel more positive.
A problem shared, is a problem halved.
